Beelinger (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides practical money tips, tools, and stories. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) What we collect

  • Information you provide: name and email when you subscribe (double opt-in), messages you send us, and content you submit via Share Your Win (e.g., story text, first name, city).
  • Automatic data: device and browser info, IP address, pages viewed, approximate location, and referrer. We also capture UTM parameters (source/medium/campaign/content) to understand how you found us.
  • Cookies & similar tech: to remember preferences, measure traffic, and personalize content. Some partners may set cookies when you click outbound links.
  • Tools & calculators: numbers you enter to generate estimates are processed to deliver results. We do not use them to make automated decisions about you.

2) How we use information

  • Send the newsletter and Starter Kit you requested (and only if you confirmed by email).
  • Improve articles, tools, and site performance; debug and protect against misuse.
  • Measure what content resonates (aggregated analytics and post view counts).
  • Respond to questions and moderate submissions.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce site terms.

3) When we share information

We don’t sell personal information. We share limited data with:

  • Service providers (e.g., web host, email service, analytics) under contracts that restrict use to providing services for us.
  • Affiliates/partners only when you click an outbound link and visit their site; their privacy practices apply there.
  • Legal and safety when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.

4) Cookies & analytics

We use cookies to keep the site functional and improve content. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Some browsers offer “Do Not Track”; we don’t respond to DNT at this time, but we minimize data and honor opt-out rights described below.

5) Data retention

  • Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe or your address bounces; basic log data may be retained for security and recordkeeping.
  • UTM & analytics: stored in aggregate; typical raw logs rotate within 12–24 months.
  • Share Your Win submissions: retained if published; you can request removal (see Your Rights).

6) Your choices & rights

  • Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Access, correct, delete: email support@beelinger.com and we’ll help.
  • California/US state privacy: depending on your state, you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, or limit use of sensitive data. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • EU/UK legal bases: consent (newsletter), legitimate interests (site security, content measurement), and legal obligation (records).

7) Children’s privacy

Our site is for general audiences and not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child gave us personal information, contact us to remove it.

8) International transfers

We operate in the U.S. and may process data there or in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9) Submissions & testimonials

When you submit a story, you grant us a non-exclusive license to edit for clarity/length and publish on Beelinger. We’ll typically display first name and city (or a pseudonym if you prefer).

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information; no method is 100% secure.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this page to reflect changes to our practices. We’ll revise the effective date above and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
