  • Temu – misleading free gift promotions: Temu agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle claims it advertised free gifts and prizes that were actually contingent on making purchases or recruiting new users.
  • Zoom – 2023 data breach: Zoom Video Communications agreed to a $3.2 million settlement over a 2023 data breach that allegedly exposed users’ email addresses, names, and meeting metadata.
  • Blue Apron – subscription cancellation: Blue Apron agreed to pay $2.65 million to resolve claims it made subscription cancellation unnecessarily difficult and continued charging customers who attempted to cancel.
  • T-Mobile – Sprint merger billing errors: T-Mobile agreed to a $14.5 million settlement resolving claims that former Sprint customers experienced billing errors, unauthorized plan changes, and overcharges following the company merger.
  • Adobe – early termination fees: Adobe agreed to pay $4.9 million to settle allegations it charged California customers early termination fees for annual subscriptions without adequately disclosing these fees.
  • DoorDash – driver tips: DoorDash agreed to a $9.5 million settlement after allegations it misled customers about how tips were paid to delivery drivers.
