πŸ›‘οΈ Legal & Transparency

Your trust,
our commitment.

Everything you need to know about how Beelinger handles your data, what our content is (and isn't), and how we make money β€” with nothing hidden.

 Effective: August 13, 2025
 We don't sell your data
 Educational content only
βœ… We do not sell personal information. Full stop.
1

What we collect

  • Information you provide: Name and email when you subscribe (double opt-in), messages you send us, and content submitted via Share Your Win β€” such as your story, first name, and city.
  • Automatic data: Device and browser info, IP address, pages viewed, approximate location, and referrer URL. We also capture UTM parameters (source/medium/campaign/content) to understand how you found us.
  • Cookies & similar tech: To remember preferences, measure traffic, and personalize content. Partner cookies may be set when you click outbound links.
  • Tools & calculators: Numbers you enter are processed to deliver your results only. We do not use them for automated decisions about you.
2

How we use information

  • Send the newsletter and Starter Kit you requested β€” only after you confirmed via email.
  • Improve articles, tools, and site performance; debug issues and protect against misuse.
  • Measure which content resonates through aggregated analytics and post view counts.
  • Respond to your questions and moderate community submissions.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce site terms.
3

When we share information

  • Service providers β€” our web host, email service, and analytics tools operate under contracts restricting use to serving Beelinger only.
  • Affiliates & partners β€” only when you click an outbound link. Their privacy practices apply once you're on their domain.
  • Legal & safety β€” when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies to keep the site functional and improve content quality. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal β€” we don't respond to DNT at this time, but we minimize data collection and honor the opt-out rights described in Section 6.

5

Data retention

Newsletter subscribers

Kept until you unsubscribe or your address bounces. Basic log data may be retained for security.

UTM & analytics

Stored in aggregate. Raw logs typically rotate within 12–24 months.

Share Your Win

Retained if published. You can request removal at any time β€” see Your Rights.

Tool inputs

Calculator entries are processed in-session only. Not stored long-term.

6

Your choices & rights

  • Unsubscribe: Use the link at the bottom of any email we send.
  • Access, correct, or delete: Email admin@beelinger.com and we'll take care of it.
  • California & US state privacy: Depending on your state, you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, or limit use of sensitive data. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • EU/UK legal bases: Consent (newsletter), legitimate interests (site security and content measurement), and legal obligation (records).
7

Children's privacy

Our site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we'll remove it.

8

International transfers

We operate in the United States and may process data here or in other countries. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards β€” such as standard contractual clauses β€” for cross-border data transfers.

9

Submissions & testimonials

When you submit a story through Share Your Win, you grant Beelinger a non-exclusive license to edit for clarity or length and publish on the site.

✏️ We'll display your first name and city by default β€” or a pseudonym if you prefer. Just let us know when you submit.
10

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure β€” we'll always be transparent if something changes.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this page to reflect changes in our practices. We'll revise the effective date at the top and, for material changes, provide additional notice β€” such as a banner on the site or an email to subscribers.
